Flowcus is a productivity app focused on timers, tasks, focus analytics, optional app blocking, local notifications, and ad-supported premium unlocks.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Flowcus, the app may process the following categories of information:
- Task and productivity data you create in the app, such as task titles, priorities, deadlines, focus sessions, selected timer mode, and theme or sound preferences.
- Device and app usage data collected by third-party services such as Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob.
- Configuration data retrieved from Firebase Remote Config, such as ad settings and feature values.
- Installed app package names and app labels if you use the optional app blocker feature.
- Phone call state information if you enable features that rely on call-status detection during focus sessions.
- Notification-related information necessary to send timer and deadline notifications on your device.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Flowcus stores much of your app data locally on your device. This includes your tasks, focus session history, timer state, app blocker selections, unlocked sounds or themes, and certain app preferences.
Local storage is used so the app can function even when you are offline and so your task and focus data can remain available inside the app.
3. Accessibility Permission and App Blocking
If you choose to enable the optional app blocker feature, Flowcus uses an Accessibility Service to detect when one of your selected blocked apps is opened during an active focus session.
For this feature, Flowcus may process:
- The package name of the app currently in the foreground.
- The list of launchable apps installed on your device so you can choose which apps to block.
This feature is used only to support blocking distracting apps during focus sessions. Based on the current app implementation, Flowcus does not use the Accessibility Service to read the contents of other apps, capture typed text, or collect messages.
4. Phone State Permission
Flowcus may request phone state access to detect whether a call is active so that strict focus protections can behave correctly during calls. Based on the current implementation, this permission is used to determine call status and not to access call content or phone numbers.
5. Notifications
Flowcus may request notification permission to send timer notifications, session completion alerts, and deadline reminders. These notifications are generated on your device to support core app functionality.
6. Firebase Services
Flowcus uses Firebase services, which may collect and process information in accordance with Google's policies:
- Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve the app.
- Firebase Remote Config to manage configuration values remotely, including certain ad-related settings.
You can review Google's privacy information here: https://policies.google.com/privacy
7. Advertising
Flowcus displays ads through Google AdMob, including native ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded ads. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostic information, and ad performance data to provide, measure, and improve ads.
For more information about how Google handles advertising data, see: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
